So I know everyone has their annual summer anthem. You know the song that just makes you feel good to be alive. It's like when that song comes on you don't have a care in the world and you usually wish you had an ice cold one or two right beside you. It reminds of you hanging with your friends...doing whatever it is you and your friends do. Kid Rock's "All Summer Long" was definitely the 2008 summer anthem, but what's your for this year?
Well...I a good friend of mine and emYOU! The Magazine posted the following on twitter today:
If this song doesn't make you move around a bit and feel all good inside, you've got issues. Let's just say it changed my life and is not only my 2009 summer anthem, it could be every summer anthem from here on out.

The poll is up! Don't wait and get over to emYOU! The Magazine and vote for your favorite candidates to make the 2009-2010 emYOU! The Calendar. We've selected 25 of EMU's most talented and well rounded co-eds and now it's up to you to decide who will make the final cut! You can vote for as many candidates as you'd like, but you can only cast your vote once a day. Voting will close at 11:59pm on June 20th. So, don't waste any time and vote today!
We're donating a percentage of the profits to SOS Community Services. SOS is a non-profit organization that serves homeless families and children and others in crisis in Washtenaw County. Founded in 1970 by students at Eastern Michigan University, SOS has evolved from its roots as a peer-counseling program into an agency whose comprehensive services assist families in their move from homelessness to self-sufficiency and permanent, stable housing. Today, SOS occupies four programs and administrative sites in Washtenaw County. In case you haven't heard, the economy has seen better days. So, we couldn't think of a better organization to help out in tough times like these.
There will be a release party at the end of July (updates and specific info to come) and calendars will be on sale for $10 each Monday, August 3. If you have any questions about emYOU! The Calendar or how you can help SOS, please email tim@emyouthemagazine.com.
