Spend Saturday in Ypsi for Fashion and Fun!!

I know what you're thinking, you want to just relax this weekend. I mean, after a crazy Memorial Day Weekend of drinking, laying in the sun, and playing at the lake, you're probably looking forward to doing nothing but lounging...

You can relax all you want, but why not do something a little different this weekend?! Instead of laying on your couch all day or sitting on the porch, come downtown and check out the festivities. Saturday marks the First Annual Dressed on Washington St. Fashion Show. What Is That gallery and local business owners got together in hopes of producing a sustainable runway fashion show that will be held under a tent on Washington Street between Pearl and West Michigan Ave. The show will feature the work of student, community, and professional designers. There will be two shows, the first show will run from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. and the second show will run from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a post reception following each show. Tickets start at just $10 are now available at What Is That gallery and at www.dressed2009.com.

After Dressed, the fun doesn't stop! There will be a few after parties where you can catch up with some of the models and designers. Keystone Underground will be the hot spot to check out. The Underground is a brand new martini bar located under JNeil's Mongolian Grille. It's a pretty rad place that's nothing like any other bar or club you've been to in Ypsi, I guarantee it! The dark and candle lit atmosphere is extremely relaxed and comfortable, add the exposed brick walls full of eclectic and vibrant paintings, and well...it's just a cool scene that you must check out!

When you're done basking in martini's and finally ready to party, head over to the Elbow Room where Mahoney and the Tickled Fancy Burlesque Co. will be rocking out and well...taking their clothes off I suppose.

So, this Saturday do something different, get schooled on some fashion and have some fun! See you there.
