What are you doing this weekend? I'm sorry, let me re-phrase that, what are you doing in Ypsi this weekend?

I've got a nice little weekend planned, myself. Like most people, my weekend starts tonight! After taking a week off due to Thanksgiving, College Night at Divine will resume as the best place to be on a Thursday night. It'll be the tip of the iceberg of an amazing Friday and Saturday night.

Friday: Downtown Ypsi is having an area wide Starlight Shopping Spree that will take place Friday and Saturday night. All the local businesses will be open from regular business hours until late in the evening anywhere from 9pm-midnight! Christmas carolers will accompany refreshments and finger foods throughout downtown stores. If you've never shopped in Ypsi before this is the perfect opportunity to grab some cool gifts for friends and family as well as contribute to the Ypsilanti community. As students, you should go out and see what's here. I promise you'll be happily surprised!

Saturday: One of my personal favorite annual events, The Shadow Art Fair, will take place at the Corner Brewery from 12pm-12am, featuring local "indie" vendors. Cover is 2 pennies...that should tell you the kind of fun you'll have. I will definitely be there. Later on in the evening The Elbow Room will host the Rock n Rummage sale. You can pick up some unique, one of a kind gifts, grab a couple brews and enjoy. Free admission, that's another beer for you.
