So....it snowed!

Yes!

I love when it's -10 degrees out and the ground is covered with 3 feet of snow! No, not really. To be honest there's only one thing I like about Michigan winters: snowboarding. I'd prefer if it were sunny and above 40, but I'll take what I can get. Unfortunately, I could never quite figure out the whole skiing thing. One death rail seemed a little easier to figure out, than two. And besides, everyone knows its way coooooler to board than ski!

There are a ton of places not too far from EMU to check out this snowy season. For beginners, Mt. Brighton and Alpine Valley are both close and have pretty good rates. For the more experienced and adventurous riders try Boyne, Schuss and Shanty Creek, Treetops.

Of course you could always just bundle up and hit the Arborland parking lot and slide down a giant mound of snow on your belly.
